"On Track" With Good Behavior
In our classroom, we have a race track! Each student has their own car and he/she is responsible for staying "on track." As long they are "making good choices" and displaying our character counts pillars, their car will stay on track. If their behavior needs some improvement, their car will be moved to the Pit Stop. If their behavior continues to be unacceptable, their car will go to the Garage. I do give 2nd chances- if the behavior improves, I'm glad to move the car back on track! After all, it is important to LEARN from our mistakes!! If a car is on track or at the Pit Stop at the end of the day, the child will get a sticker in his/her planner. If a car is in the Garage at the end of the day, I will either send a note home or call to discuss ways of improving the behavior problem. This allows parents to see on a daily basis how their child is behaving in class. I am ALWAYS willing to discuss any behavior issues! Don't hesitate to contact me if you ever have concerns!
